305 – The Deer Hunter

The Dudes keep a promise to a friend with 1978’s The Deer Hunter.  Michael Cimino’s monumental film focused on the Vietnam War’s human toll both during and after the fighting, and tried to make sense of something senseless and inexplicable.  It’s an all-time great movie for many reasons, so please break it down with us.
