The dudes hunt Jack the Ripper in 2001’s From Hell. This take on the ripper legend proposes an elaborate royal cover up to protect the Victorian monarchy, the Freemasons, and the established class system. Just rich and powerful people doing what they do. It may not be the best movie, but it oozes atmosphere, crafts an intriguing mystery, and has some great performances from Jack Sparrow, Hagrid, and Bilbo.
