The Dudes make a desert of their home and yours with 1968’s Planet Of The Apes.  For cultural impact, there are few films more important than Franklin J. Schaffner’s classic, and that they keep trying to recapture it’s glory with re-makes proves it’s continued relevance.  But stay out of the Forbidden Zone with those re-makes, because the original can’t be beat!
