209 – The Crucible

The Dudes can’t recall one key Commandment with 1996’s The Crucible.  Arthur Miller’s masterpiece was both a dramatization of terrible historical events as well as a  powerful allegory against McCarthyism and the HUAC.  Such witch-hunts unfortunately carry on to this day, and if this were a just world, the swine who start them would receive swift retribution.  All that aside, this is a great movie and you should watch it.

Other movies discussed:

An American in Paris (1951) – Directed by Vincente Minelli

Son of Kong (1933) –  Directed by Ernest Schoedsack
