The Dudes don’t often find themselves pondering mediocrity, but that’s the case this week with 1998’s Sphere, an atmospheric but often tedious Science Fiction adventure.  Weirdly edited, unevenly paced, and sometimes a gigantic mess, even the bombastic ending leaves you wanting after 135(!) misspent minutes.  All aboard.
